Yeah... right

Happy New Year!

Long time no speak. How are you? Christmas passed and we are currently in 2009. Because of that, the Dakar has begun. It is now held in South America - Argentina and Chile - rather than Africa. The first stages have so far been quite dramatic. A lot of withdrawls due to accidents, fires, one death and one exclusion. Stages cut short dueto difficult terrain, cars that are gettin to the bivouac (that's how you write it...) with nothing running properly other than the steering and starting off the next stage looking and working like brand new.

The overall temporary leaders are:

  • Motorcycles: Marc Coma -TEAM KTM REPSOL - KTM 650 Rallye
  • Quads: Joan Manuel Gonzalez - PEDREGA - Yamaha Raptor 700
  • Cars: Giniel De Villiers / Dirk von Zitzewitz - TEAM VOLKSWAGEN MOTORSPORT II -Volkswagen Touareg II
  • Trucks: Firdaus Kabirov / Aydar Belyaev / Andrey Mokeev - TEAM KAMAZ-MASTER - Kamaz 43 26

Ain't life perfect? Well, no. I actually wanted to write this post with a burning desire to tell what's on my mind. Should I?...

Some people think that if they are funny the will be able to get pass everything without any major problems. It may be, but not all jokes are funny, especially those which are taken beyond funny haha and into "let's mock people". This type gets offended if you say to them "hey i think you've crossed the line...". Their reaction usually is "you're no fun, i was just joking, next time i won't joke no more...". Childish huh?

But you have to live with them. They think they haven't got anything to learn, but in fact they have to learn about some boundaries regarding the extent of the joke. Sounds weird but it is true. Not everybody gets the same joke in the same way. Not everybody likes the same thing and not everybody puts up for the same amount of time with these "jokes". But what bugs me the most are those who can't come up with a joke but will go beyond any existing boundary with someone else's joke, not knowing they're being jackasses. People huh? I know. I know.

There's a third type of people. Those who know when to stop even if they use the same joke the other two previous types use. It may not be as funny for others but it shows that those people understand the fact that not many put up with others' "jokes".

As a matter of fact, how funny should we be not to ofend the others around us? Is there a common measurement? No. It differs. That's the problem. Everybody has another perspective. And in the end all we can do is consider this: "if you can't see that this ain't funny no more, than the joke is on the buffon... you."
